Obituary of Stanley Bell

Stanley R. Bell of Grahamsville passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 77. He was the son of the late John V. and AnnaMarie Wessles Bell, born on May 5, 1935 in Queens, NY. Stanley proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved nature, cutting down trees and fishing. He enjoyed riding his tractor but most importantly loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather that will be missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn Bell; his children: AnnaMarie Bell, Edna Alice Scott and her husband, Dennis, Susan L. Claves, Loretta L. Engert and her husband, Chris, and Betty A. Bell; his grandchildren: Sarah, Cynthia, John, Alyssa, Amanda, and Victoria; his great grandchildren: Cassandra, Chevy, William and Brody; his loyal canine companions, Barry and Fuzzy and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Monday, July 23 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be on Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home; Rev. Bob Kersten will officiate.
