Obituary of Eddie Clansy

Eddie C. Clansy Sr. of South Fallsburg, NY passed away peacefully at Catskill Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, July 25, 2012. He was the son of the late Leonard, Sr. and Elizabeth Clansy, born February 2, 1925 in Marion, AL. He married Polly (Redding) Clansy on June 24, 1951. Ed was a Veteran of the United States Navy and he retired from Schrade Knife Factory after decades of dedicated service. He was also a founding member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of South Fallsburg. Ed's service to his country was honorable, his years at Schrade were remarkable, and his dedication to his wife, family, and church was admirable. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Polly; son, Eddie Jr. and wife, Diann; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Jerome) Seabrook, Eddie III (Jamie) and Marcus; and three great grandchildren, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Mary Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ed was predeceased by four brothers, Daniel, Leonard, Charles, and Willie; and a sister, Lou Mamie. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fallsburg on Main Street, South Fallsburg, NY. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Rev. Norman Graves Sr. will officiate. Interment will take place at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty with full military honors.
