Obituary of Michael P. Farris

Michael P. Farris of Monticello passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 14, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, from injuries sustained after being hit by a car on Broadway in Monticello. He was 49. He was the son of Paul Farris and the late Priscilla Legg Farris, born on March 22, 1965 in Boston, MA. Michael was a college educated Chef that had a gentle soul and a great sense of humor. He loved nature, hiking, animals and photography and he cared deeply for people. He was always looking to lend a helping hand. He loved his family and will be sorely missed . He is survived by his father Paul Farris of Boston, his children Samantha and Justin Farris, his siblings Cathy Farris of Mountaindale, Peter Farris of Monticello, David Farris and his wife Yahwey of MA., his nieces and nephew Heather, Hailey and Jason Farris and a host of friends. Interment will take place at a later date at the family plot in Machias, Maine. Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home.
